General Information Only—Not Legal or Medical Advice
The information provided through this website is intended solely for general educational and informational purposes. This includes, without limitation, information appearing in webpages, articles, blogs, frequently asked questions, videos, newsletters, social-media content, downloadable materials, case examples, calculators, chat features, automated responses, emails, and other digital communications.
Nothing on this website is intended to constitute legal advice concerning any particular person, claim, lawsuit, deadline, insurance policy, settlement, or factual situation. Website content is not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney who has reviewed the specific facts, documents, applicable law, and deadlines involved in your matter.
This website also does not provide medical, tax, accounting, insurance, or financial advice. Information discussing injuries, diagnoses, treatment, medical bills, liens, insurance benefits, settlement proceeds, or taxes should not be used as a substitute for advice from the appropriate licensed professional.
Laws, court rules, filing requirements, insurance requirements, medical information, and legal interpretations can change. Although Torgenson Law endeavors to provide useful and accurate information, website content may not reflect the most recent legal or factual developments. You should not act—or refrain from acting—solely because of information found on this website.
For a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate medical assistance.
No Attorney-Client Relationship
Viewing this website, searching it, downloading information, following or interacting with a social-media account, submitting an online form, using an online chat feature, sending an email or text message, calling the Firm, scheduling a consultation, or participating in a preliminary case evaluation does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship with Torgenson Law.
Torgenson Law does not agree to represent a person unless and until:
- The Firm has obtained sufficient information to evaluate the potential representation and complete an appropriate conflicts review;
- The Firm and the prospective client have agreed upon the nature and scope of the representation; and
- The prospective client and an authorized representative of John P. Torgenson, PLC have entered into a written engagement agreement.
You should not consider yourself a client of Torgenson Law, or rely on the Firm to investigate your claim, preserve evidence, communicate with an insurance company, file a notice or lawsuit, monitor a deadline, or otherwise protect your interests, unless the Firm has expressly accepted the representation in writing.
A free consultation or preliminary discussion does not obligate the Firm to accept a matter and does not guarantee that the Firm will be able to represent you.
Nothing in this disclaimer is intended to eliminate, restrict, or waive any duty that applicable law or the Arizona Rules of Professional Conduct may impose upon Torgenson Law concerning a current client, former client, or prospective client.
Communications, Confidentiality, and Sensitive Information
Before the Firm has agreed to represent you, please provide only the basic information reasonably necessary for Torgenson Law to determine whether it can evaluate or potentially accept your matter.
Unless specifically requested by the Firm through an approved method, do not send highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, or time-critical information through a general website form, ordinary email, text message, online chat, or social-media message. This includes Social Security numbers, complete medical records, account numbers, insurance policy numbers, passwords, privileged communications, photographs or recordings of a particularly sensitive nature, and original documents.
Communications made before an attorney-client relationship is formed may not be protected by the attorney-client privilege in every circumstance. The unilateral submission of information also does not necessarily prevent Torgenson Law from representing another person whose interests may be adverse to yours, subject to the Firm’s obligations under applicable law and ethical rules.
Internet communications and electronic storage involve inherent security risks. Torgenson Law uses reasonable measures to protect information but cannot guarantee that every website transmission, email, text, chat communication, or third-party platform will be completely secure.
Torgenson Law will handle information it receives in accordance with applicable law, professional obligations, and the Firm’s Privacy Policy. Nothing in this disclaimer authorizes the Firm to use or disclose information in violation of those obligations.
Deadlines Are Not Extended by Contacting the Firm
Legal claims are governed by statutes of limitation, statutes of repose, governmental notice-of-claim requirements, contractual deadlines, administrative deadlines, court orders, evidence-preservation obligations, and other time limits. Some deadlines may be much shorter than the general statute of limitations.
Contacting Torgenson Law does not stop, suspend, toll, or extend any deadline. Unless the Firm has accepted your matter through a written engagement agreement, you remain responsible for protecting your rights and meeting every applicable deadline.
Do not attempt to serve legal process, provide formal legal notice, satisfy a notice-of-claim requirement, submit a litigation hold, or deliver a court filing through this website, its contact forms, or its chat features.
No Guarantee, Warranty, or Prediction of Outcome
No lawyer or law firm can guarantee or predict the result of a legal matter. Torgenson Law makes no guarantee, warranty, or promise concerning whether a claim will be accepted, whether liability will be established, whether insurance or assets will be available, whether a settlement will be offered, whether a case will proceed to trial, the amount or timing of any recovery, or the net amount a client may ultimately receive.
The outcome and value of a personal-injury matter depend on many variables, including the facts, applicable law, available evidence, credibility of the parties and witnesses, insurance coverage, available assets, comparative fault, medical causation, preexisting conditions, jurisdiction, venue, judge, jury, opposing counsel, experts, liens, subrogation claims, litigation expenses, and developments occurring during the claim or litigation.
Any preliminary observation made during an initial consultation is necessarily based on incomplete information and is subject to investigation, legal research, discovery, expert review, and later-developed evidence.
Past Results, Settlements, Verdicts, and Case Examples
Past results do not guarantee, predict, or establish the likely outcome of any other matter. Every claim is different, and even cases that appear similar may produce substantially different results because of differences in facts, evidence, law, insurance coverage, damages, parties, witnesses, venue, or other circumstances.
Case results appearing on this website are provided only as examples of matters handled by the Firm or its lawyers. A listed result should not be understood as a representation that the same or a similar result can be obtained in another matter.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- Settlement and verdict amounts shown are gross recoveries before the deduction or payment of attorneys’ fees, litigation expenses, medical bills, healthcare liens, health-insurance reimbursement or subrogation claims, governmental benefit claims, taxes, structured-settlement expenses, or other obligations;
- A displayed amount may represent the combined recovery for more than one client, claimant, estate, or family member;
- A matter may have involved co-counsel, referring counsel, or other associated attorneys;
- A case description may omit facts, procedural history, defenses, comparative-fault issues, confidentiality requirements, or other details; and
- A settlement does not necessarily include an admission of liability or wrongdoing.
The amount recovered in a prior matter does not establish the value of any current or future claim.
Historical Success-Rate Statements
Any reference on this website to a historical “success rate” must be read together with the specific methodology displayed with, or directly linked beside, that statement. The methodology should identify the time period studied, the matters included in the calculation, the definition of “success,” relevant exclusions, the source of the underlying data, and whether the calculation was independently reviewed.
A historical success rate is not an individualized probability, prediction, guarantee, or representation concerning what will happen in your case. It does not necessarily measure the amount recovered, the client’s net recovery, the percentage of disputed liability cases won, the percentage of trials won, or the economic benefit ultimately received by a client.
Reviews, Testimonials, and Community Support
Reviews and testimonials reflect the personal experiences, observations, or opinions of the individual reviewer. They do not guarantee or predict the experience or outcome of another person.
Reviews appearing on the website or on third-party platforms may be submitted by current clients, former clients, referral sources, professional colleagues, community members, event attendees, or other individuals familiar with or supportive of Torgenson Law. Unless expressly stated, the appearance of a review should not be interpreted as a representation that the reviewer was a client or that the Firm obtained a financial recovery for that person.
A review may address communication, professionalism, community involvement, responsiveness, or another aspect of the reviewer’s experience and may not concern the outcome of a legal matter. Any material connection, incentive, or compensation associated with a testimonial will be disclosed where required by law or professional rules.
Awards, Ratings, Memberships, and Recognition
Awards, ratings, badges, memberships, and professional recognitions displayed on this website are issued by independent third-party organizations. Each organization uses its own eligibility requirements, selection criteria, peer-review procedures, research methods, membership requirements, or publication standards. Some organizations may charge membership, advertising, licensing, or badge-use fees separate from the selection process.
Such recognition does not constitute an endorsement by a court, governmental agency, or the State Bar of Arizona and does not guarantee any particular level of service or case result.
A statement that an attorney practices, focuses on, concentrates in, or specializes in personal-injury law does not mean that the attorney is a “certified specialist” unless the website expressly identifies the certification and the certifying organization.
Free Consultations, Contingent Fees, and Case Expenses
An initial consultation may be offered without charge. A free consultation does not obligate Torgenson Law to accept a case and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Any contingent-fee representation is governed exclusively by a written engagement agreement. A statement such as “no attorney fee unless we win” or “no attorney fee unless there is a recovery” refers to the contingent attorney fee described in that agreement. It does not necessarily mean that every case will be accepted or that all litigation expenses, medical bills, liens, subrogation claims, taxes, or other third-party obligations will be eliminated.
Attorneys’ fees and case-related expenses are separate items. The written engagement agreement will state how fees are calculated, whether expenses are advanced, how expenses are reimbursed, and what responsibility, if any, the client has for expenses if no recovery is obtained.
In limited circumstances authorized by law, contract, court rule, or sanction, a court or arbitrator may assess taxable costs or attorneys’ fees against a party. The existence of a contingent-fee agreement does not control obligations imposed by a court or owed to a third party.
Torgenson Law’s Fair Fee Guarantee
Torgenson Law’s Garantía de tarifas justas is a commitment concerning the allocation of a financial recovery between the client and the Firm’s attorney fee. It is not a guarantee that the Firm will accept a case, that a recovery will occur, that a particular amount will be recovered, or that a client will receive a specified minimum net distribution.
The precise meaning, calculation, scope, and application of the Fair Fee Guarantee must be stated in the written engagement agreement or written fee addendum applicable to the representation. Medical bills, healthcare liens, insurance-reimbursement claims, litigation expenses, taxes, structured-settlement charges, and other third-party obligations are not necessarily part of the Firm’s attorney fee and may affect the amount ultimately distributed to a client.
Nothing in this disclaimer limits any more favorable promise expressly made to a client in a signed engagement agreement.
Attorneys, Legal Staff, Referrals, and Co-Counsel
Retention of Torgenson Law does not mean that John P. Torgenson will personally perform every legal, administrative, investigative, or litigation task. A matter may be handled by Firm attorneys, paralegals, case managers, investigators, and other personnel working under appropriate attorney supervision.
When appropriate or necessary, Torgenson Law may recommend associating with another lawyer or law firm, referring a matter to another lawyer, or engaging local counsel in another jurisdiction. Any association, referral, division of fees, or allocation of responsibility will be handled in accordance with applicable ethical rules and with any client disclosure or consent required by law.
Unless expressly stated, an outside lawyer, expert, investigator, medical provider, lien-resolution company, structured-settlement professional, or other service provider is not an employee or agent of John P. Torgenson, PLC.
Attorney Licensing and Geographic Scope
This website is primarily directed toward Arizona legal matters. The fact that the website can be viewed from another state or country does not mean that Torgenson Law or every attorney associated with the Firm is authorized to practice in that jurisdiction.
Each attorney’s biography identifies the jurisdictions in which that attorney is admitted. No attorney is represented as licensed in a jurisdiction unless that admission is accurately stated. Matters arising outside an attorney’s licensed jurisdiction may be declined, referred, or handled in association with counsel admitted in the applicable jurisdiction, as permitted by law.
References to cities, counties, communities, or “areas served” do not necessarily mean that Torgenson Law maintains a physical office in every listed location.
Torgenson Law does not seek to represent any person based solely upon that person’s viewing of this website in a jurisdiction where the website or the Firm’s services would violate applicable professional rules.
Online Chat, Automated Tools, and Intake Assistance
Any website chatbot, virtual assistant, automated response, scheduling tool, text-message system, artificial-intelligence feature, or third-party intake service is provided only to assist with preliminary communication, scheduling, or collection of basic information.
An automated tool or intake assistant is not acting as your lawyer and does not provide legal advice. Its statements may be incomplete, automated, or based solely upon information supplied by the user. You should not rely upon an automated response to evaluate a claim, calculate a deadline, determine case value, or decide whether legal action is necessary.
Do not submit confidential, privileged, or highly sensitive information through an automated feature unless the Firm specifically requests it through an approved method.
Social Media, Multimedia, and Informal Communications
Torgenson Law’s social-media posts, videos, podcasts, interviews, newsletters, comments, and other multimedia materials are general information and attorney advertising. Following an account, commenting on a post, exchanging direct messages, subscribing to content, or receiving a response does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Statements made in public presentations or media appearances may be abbreviated for the format and should not be treated as comprehensive legal advice.
Third-Party Websites, Links, and Embedded Content
This website may contain links to third-party websites, review platforms, maps, directories, government resources, medical information, videos, social-media platforms, or other external content. Links are provided for convenience and general information.
Torgenson Law does not control third-party websites and does not warrant or guarantee their accuracy, completeness, availability, security, accessibility, privacy practices, or continued operation. A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement, referral, sponsorship, or affiliation.
Third-party websites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Website Accuracy, Availability, and Security
Torgenson Law endeavors to maintain accurate, useful, and secure website content but does not warrant that every page will always be complete, current, error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful code or unauthorized access.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Torgenson Law is not responsible for a person’s decision to rely solely upon general website content or information obtained from a third-party website. This provision does not limit any duty the Firm owes to an actual client under a signed engagement agreement, applicable law, or the Rules of Professional Conduct.
Política de privacidad
The collection, use, retention, and disclosure of personal information through this website are addressed separately in Torgenson Law’s Privacy Policy. This disclaimer should be read together with that policy.
The Privacy Policy does not create an attorney-client relationship and should not be interpreted as a promise that every pre-engagement communication is protected by the attorney-client privilege.
Copyright and Trademarks
Unless otherwise indicated, the original text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, and other materials created for this website are owned by or licensed to John P. Torgenson, PLC and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
No material may be reproduced, republished, modified, distributed, or commercially used without prior written permission, except as permitted by law. Third-party names, logos, ratings, certification marks, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply sponsorship or endorsement unless expressly stated.
Translations
Translated website content is provided to improve access to general information. Although Torgenson Law endeavors to provide accurate translations, legal terminology may not translate perfectly, and translated content should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney.
A translated webpage does not alter the Firm’s licensing, the scope of any representation, or the terms of a signed engagement agreement.
Accessibility
Torgenson Law seeks to make its website and information reasonably accessible. Anyone experiencing difficulty accessing website content may contact the Firm by telephone at (602) 854-4981 to request assistance or information in an alternative format.
Changes to This Disclaimer
Torgenson Law may revise this disclaimer as its website, technology, professional obligations, or services change. The effective date appearing above identifies the most recent revision.
